VIEW THE FULL HORRIFYING CHAINSAW SPECTACLE
The trees in question were in reality very uncooperative in all kinds of ‘interesting’ ways! The largest one had literal horns (see below) and his ugly sisters were also deplorable in every tree like sense.
The ‘reality reality’ is two of them were rotten to the point of being dangerous. The other two most likely sustained aesthetic/structural damage during Hurricane Juan in 2003. In time I’d like to replace them with some native fruit trees which, I can then ‘lob at’ passing squirrels!
…The surrounding Gray Alder were converted into firewood and charcoal which, it excels at.

Bonfire night was sizable! I also got a few lengths of lumber for future projects.
